Arriving in Graz

Graz airport has direct connections to several destinations and hubs all over Europe.

Daily direct flights include:

For more information on direct flight connections, visit the homepage of Graz airport. The bus from the airport to the center of Graz takes around 30-40 minutes, for more convenience and faster transport, we recommend a taking a Taxi (cost approx. 20€-25€).

Vienna international airport offers connections to many other destinations. Getting to Graz from Vienna airport takes approximately 3h by train or bus. Of course there is also the possibility of renting a car at the airport.

For medium distances, travelling to Graz by bus or train is probably the most convenient option.

Getting around Graz

In the city center, most distances are short and walking is always a good option, especially since it offers opportunities to discover a little more of the city. Alternatively, public transport service in Graz is very good with frequent bus and tram connections. The tickets can be purchased at the ticket machines inside the trams or from the bus conductors (currently 2.40€/h and 5.30€/24h). With the „Old Town Tram“ all tram lines are free of charge between Jakominiplatz and Hauptplatz plus one stop in either direction.

Getting to the Conference

The conference venue will be the main building of the Graz University of Technology – old campus – Rechbauerstraße 12, A-8010 Graz. It is three minutes from the stops Mandellstraße or Rechbauerstraße (Tram line 3, Bus lines 30, 31, 60 and 63) or  Maiffredygasse (Tram lines 1 and 7, Bus lines 30, 31, 39, 41, 58 and 64).
